Ah hello and thanks for your prompt reply

In total my mother says Isabelle had 13 children. John was the only boy (he died after being hit by a train behind the farm in 1907 and so the farm was not passed on down the family line.)

As well as Ann, Isabella and John I am aware of Euphemia (1890- 1949), Elizabeth (1887-1958) and my own great-grandmother, Christina (b. Kinclaven 1884- d. London 1975).

I am interested to hear that James Purgavie worked as a gamekeeper on a local estate as my Great-Grandmother eloped from Kinclaven to London with a local gardener/chauffer  (James Patterson)who worked on a big local estate. I wonder if they may have worked for the same landowner ?

I do have a photograph of Isabella Purgavie but i will have to find it at Christmas when I visit my mother
