O.K. in Emerald Ancestors, type in Nicholson - no christian name, and Co. Down. This will give you a list of births with that surname and then if you click on view you should see the parents names. You can also do a search in 'births, putting in the father's name and the mother's name, and the County. www.emeraldancestors.com Let us know how you do. RJ

Two things, sorry three!!
1. This thread is becoming very popular Good good.
2. I'm in NI so I can nip over to PRONI re the 1901 census stuff, which (may) help. Let me know.
3. Finally, what about Lewis's signature in the Covenant (Raby St) (Brother? - born in Wales ?).
Hoping it'll help?
David

As soon as we figure out the "who & what" i would very much like to take you up on that offer, but only if I can pay your expenses or buy you lunch for doing this for me. Will let you know, Noreen

St Patrick's Ballymacarrett records from 1827 on microfilm at PRONI (Church was known as Christchurch in earliest years). Maybe LJReb123's offer of lookups at PRONI would help .... if still available
