Royal Navy Archibald T Jackson
« on: Sunday 04 October 09 14:09 UTC (UK) »

Hello

I am looking for information on Archibald T Jackson.

He was born in 1924 in Liverpool. His mother was Dora May Jackson nee Kelley and his father was James Jackson.

I have been told that he told a few porkies about his age to join the Royal Navy. I have a picture which i believe to be him in 1940 (not in uniform, although they are both wearing a badge of some sort?) Picture attached (Archie is on the left)

The boat he was on was sunk and he was lost at sea.

I have done a search on a few websites where the ships were sunk but have been unable to find any trace of him.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Many thanks

Jemma

Looks like this could be him on CWGC website- Merchant Navy rather than R.N.:

Ship is given in CWGC page- M.V. British Security
Here's some references but if you google "british security" sunk 1941 there are lots more to check.
