found no marraige as yet but on scotlands people, opr's there is 5 females and 4 males born between 1737 and 1759,to this couple, dont know if it would give date of marraige on those certs, eva
I had a search like this totally screwed up until I tried optional spellings of the name METHVINE
Having eventually managed to get the Register page it transpired it looked to be written in as METHUINE The 'transcriber' would have taken that as the correct spelling hence there being no METHVINE coming up on a search
The ScotlandsPeople site is quite pedantic with spelling and doesn't offer options - as does the LDS IGI site.
Good luck anyway

Aye mair questions than answers in a world where the past was a different place - that cannae be revisited!
Family surnames being researched ... Crawford, Neilson, Lindsay, Reekie, Davidson Drummond, Pearson, Laing ... will do for starters but there's a whole lot more!

The Scotlands People site is one of the most flexible to search once you know how to use it. You need to use wildcards to cover spelling variations. Using wildcards saves time and effort in trying to think of all the possible spelling variations.
Scotlands People is one of the very few family history research sites on the web where a leading wildcard is permitted.
