Exeter Photographers
« on: Saturday 13 June 09 09:08 UTC (UK) »

Hi All,

I'm researching Victorian and Edwardian photographers in Pembrokeshire, Wales. This is an ongoing project for Narberth Museum, Pembrokeshire.

Recently I've been passed these two Carte-de-visite cards by a local writer and researcher.

The cardstock belongs to Woodley Brothers of Exeter, but have been used in Narberth by the Green Brothers.

Our researches have lead us to a Reginald Green  who was visiting Narberth in the 1880's.  He was visiting a local blacksmith family in the Towns Moor part of Narberth.

Our theory is that he came to Narberth and set up a small photographic business for a few years.

I can't find anything about Green Brothers or the Woodley Brothers of Exeter.

Has anyone come across these two photographic businesses in their researches.

Any ideas appreciated.

Regards

John Spencer
