HARBOTTLE in Somerset

According to the IGI, Isaac Harbottle married Elizabeth Chapple in Exeter in 1815. Elizabeth came from Exeter, but later censuses show that Isaac was born in Somerset. We are puzzled as Harbottle isn't a west country name (as far as we know) and wonder where Isaac's family came from. By 1841 Isaac and Elizabeth were in London, which is where the family is based from then onwards.

We'd be really grateful if anyone could throw any light on Isaac's family (before his marriage). I'd be happy to buy a CD of parish records if they would help, but so far can't find any trace of the family on LDS, ancestry etc - and can't get to Somerset to search in person.

Are the family at St Sepulchre in 1841? if so, Isaac born in county.(Middlesex)

Thanks for your reply, Jackie. That is the right family. It's one of those annoying inconsistencies - all the later censuses give Isaac's birth as Somerset, so I'm going by that. However I'd love to know whether there are any online indexes for Somerset births, or whether there's a CD I could buy. If anyone has access to the parish registers I'd be grateful for a lookup.
