I have found the Goole Almanack for 1935, which includes Goole and surrounding villages, on the net. You can view it on Facebook but you have to be a member and you have to be 'friends' with the person who has put it on Facebook.

So follow this link: http://www.facebook.com/
 sign up, then go to this page:
http://www.facebook.com/gettingstarted.php#/profile.php?id=615169103
you then send a request to add 'Goole Book' (users name) as a friend, and then you can view the almanack - Goole Book also has LOTS of postcards of Goole and villages, listings for Goole Grammer School and lots more for of interest for anyone who's family come from Goole.

I found my grandparents on the Goole listing and a number of names thatI'm interested in.

It's a bit complicated to view it but worth it  Smiley
