Is there anyone who can kindly help with the following details? IGI search has been unsuccessful.

Looking for Birth date and/or parents of Robert Patterson Kerr of Moneycannon Finvoy who married Jane Jamieson nee Glasgow of Carrowreagh Finvoy on 13th November 1877.

This couple went to NZ after their marriage.  Jane's son married a Poole ancestor of mine.

Civil registration of births started in 1864 so there'll be no birth certificate of Robert Patterson Kerr. His marriage certificate should list father's name and occupation- have you that yet?
According to Index of Civil Registrations Robert Kerr married 1877 Ballymoney registration district (volume 16 page 221) Jane Jamieson.

Many thanks for that info.  Seems I wont get a birth date unless there is someone has it on their tree.  I do have the marriage certificate and his father is John but no mother stated, his age is stated as "Full".   I cant find a death registration for him as there are a multitude of Robert Kerrs on the various indexes in both Aust and NZ.  He went from NZ to Aust and back to NZ where he remarried after jane died.

Thanks again for your prompt (as always) reply and advice.

There will be no birth certificate but might be a church record of his baptism but to search you need to know the family's religion and where they lives, find which churches are in that area and then see if the records go back far enough.
