I am having difficulty with finding an old street map of Maxwelltown,trying to locate Mitchells Lane and Church street.Any help appreciated

Dotty, this looks promising, though I haven't looked for your particular streets:

PS. Just had a quick look and Church Street is obvious. Is a 1819 map too early?

My ancestor Elizabeth Kerr and her son William also lived in Mitchels Lane. I was down there a couple of years ago, you can see where it used to be, new housing there now though. Its not far off the end of the Bridge over the river Nith.
