parish registers--CARDY/LYNN

Is anybody able to look-up marriage details for me please?John Cardy and Elizabeth Lynn married 21st July 1822 at Dumfries.Both originally came from Ireland according to the 1851 census and I haven't a clue on how to set about looking for them unles s I can get more details. Many thanks.

But I will mention here:

There is likely to be very little in the Parish record of the marriage which will help you find more on the background of this couple - but you can download the record from SP for a small cost, there is always a possibility of some small clue.

Since both John and Elizabeth both died after 1855 in Troqueer, Kircudbright, Scotland ( he is 1865 and she in 1880) your better bet would be to obtain both those death certs from SP as they will hopefully record the names of their parents - something to start with at least  Smiley
