Grant Family, Battersea
« on: Monday 15 June 09 14:10 UTC (UK) »

Hi, I'm hoping someone out there can help me

I have a few gaps in my family that I'm struggling to fill

Ada B Grant b. 1885 married a chap with the surname Hunt but I dont know his first name, I know they had 2 sons, Donald and Stanley, dont know when they were born but I know Ada and her husband moved to Northampton but I dont know where they married or when they moved there.

Charles F Grant b. 1888 and thats it, I cant find any record of this person except on the 1901 census

Frank Grant b. 1894. I know he married dont know when or to whom. He had 2 girls and a boy, dont know their names either

Most of this information has come from their niece Gladys, who is still alive but cant remember any details of them and I cant trace them. If anyone could help, it would mean alot to her, shes 92 next month

Thank you for any help you can provide

Hi dannibaggaley,

Searching FreeBMD for a marriage Ada Grant to Hunt, there's only one match:

Dec 1910 Winchester 2c 273
Ada B Grant - William H Hunt

 Smiley

Then, still from FreeBMD, searching for births surname Hunt, mother's maiden name Grant, we have:

Stanley T Hunt, Sep 1912 Northampton 3b 150
Donald G Hunt, Dec 1914 Northampton 3b 130

Charles Grant, born ca. 1888 Battersea, appears in Winchester district in 1911.

..and his birthplace is Battersea.

There's also a Frank Grant (of the right age to be his brother) in the same household.  Parents William and Emma seem to be there too, among others.
