I am unable to find the marriage of James Wisdom to Alice, possibly about 1815 North West Kent/London area. It isn’t on the IGI nor is it in the Kent Marriage Index researched by Michael Gandy. From the IGI, James & Alice had 8 children, all dates of birth & baptism are given there. All of them were baptised at St Mary Magdalen, Woolwich.
First child was:-
Mary Ann born 14 Mar 1817 bapt 25 Dec 1817
James born 20 Sep 1818 bapt 9 Apr 1819
Susan born 19 May 1822 bapt 7 Jun 1822
William born 20 Apr 1824 bapt 12 May 1824
Henry born 1 May 1826 bapt 19 May 1826
George born 15 Sep 1828 bapt 3 Oct 1828
Eliza born 30 Dec 1830 bapt 9 Feb 1831
Emma born 20 Apr 1836 bapt 24 Jun 1836
Another child was Thomas born c1837/8 (age 3 in 1841 census at the farm yard, Plumstead, no bapt/GRO ref found)
James Wisdom was born 18 Feb 1796, baptised 10 Apr 1796 at East Wickham, to Thomas & Margaret Wisdom. In 1841 James & “Anne” were living at the Farm Yard, Plumstead. Some of the children’s names and ages don’t quite tally with the IGI dates. Nothing known about Alice, only info from death cert that she died 18 Feb 1846 at the Farm Yard, Plumstead Common, age 52, wife of James Wisdom, labourer. Would like to find out her maiden name and parents.
Am wondering if the PR entries for the children’s baptisms give any more info regarding Alice. I do have son William’s baptism entry 12 May 1824 where James Wisdom is a baker, living at Plumstead.
By 1851 James Wisdom is a dockyard labourer, living on Plumstead Common with 5 children. No GRO death ref for James but there is a burial 9 Oct 1861 age 66 at Plumstead. The two GRO death refs for December quarter 1861 Lewisham are not this one. Can’t find him in 1861.
Would be grateful if someone could look at the PR entries to see if Alice's maiden name is there, also when James' occupation changed from baker to ag lab.

Amazing, thanks Dawn, I didn't have Elizabeth's details! I think I've only gone on the IGI listing for all the other children. Am hoping to get some more info from the new release on A.......y's LMA digitisation, my local library has the Library Subscription, the next step up from mine.
