Joseph Kinge 1841 & Family, Kimberley c1873-1890
« on: Monday 15 June 09 20:23 UTC (UK) »

I've had some info suggesting that this family went to Kimberley probably around 1873 when one of their children was born at sea, probably on route to South Africa. Could someone help me track them down. I'm under the impression that Joseph Kinge died in Kimberley as he did not return to England, where as his widow and children all did. They had returned to England by the time of the UK 1891 census.

In the UK 1871 census he is listed as an Engine Driver, which makes me think he may have gone to work at the Diamond fields in Kimberley.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as this would not just help my research, but another relation to this Kinge family.

Regards
