Stanger farm in Birsay, Orkney
Daniel Davidson and Isabella Paul

Looking for information on the descendants (and ancestors) of Daniel Davidson (b.1836) and Isabella Paul (b.1841) married December 6, 1861 in Belhelvie, Aberdeen, Scotland.  They had 14 children.  I checked the IGI but there's a lot of data missing.

The 1871 census shows Daniel as David - aged 33 b Clayer, Sutherlandshire

Isabella is 28 b Slyans, Aberdeenshire

There is 1 tree on ancestry with Daniel Davidson born 8 March 1864  Holm and Paplay , Orkney with a wife called Isabella Paul. Is this date right? They have 14 children

Found on 1871 census Daniel Davidson born 1864 at Scomuir, Holm and Paplay, Orkney son of farmer David and mother Isabella. Children living with them are: James H 8, Daniel W 7, Adma ( should probably be Adam) 5, Oliver 4, Mary Ann 2 and Isabella 9 mo.

Been having another look at this family via ofhs census and they are in Holm as far as the 1891 census adding to their family. also found a memorial inscription for one of them. According to the census in Orkney David was born at Clyne in Sutherlandshire and Isabella was born in Aberdeenshire. Only one of their children ( James K ) was born at Belhelvie in 1863. If this is the family you are looking for  I can give you the rest of the info

On the 1871 census he is called David. On the 1881 he is Daniel. On the 1991 census Isabella is a widow.
