The 1911 census data for Co. Wexford is online at the national archives website at : http://www.census.nationalarchives.ie/

1901 data is to follow later this year.

Civil registration began in 1864, so too late for Catherine. Without knowing exactly where she was born/baptised a search will be difficult.

Do you have a priests name on the baptism cert ? ... if so I may be able to locate where he was based, which could be a clue to the location of her family.

Three Moores were killed in ww1, 1 from Wexford Town, one from Taghmon and one from Bree, Wexford. None from Parnell Street.
One Howlin died in ww1 from Wexford and he lived in Rathnure but was born in Carlow

1911 census for all Ireland is now online-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search

You haven't mentioned your grandfather's name but you should be able to search by name, age, place or any combination of items to find the record.

The 1911 census is now online and covers all of Ireland, including Wexford. 1901 census is supposed to be added late 2009/early 2010.

Link for 1911 census was given earlier in this thread-
www.census.nationalarchives.ie/search

On search page type in name and select Co. Wexford if you wish. There are 4 Nicholas Brennans in Co. Wexford at the time of the census.

It's [possible that the name has been transcribed incorrectly- try searching by first name/age, first name/place, etc.

If you can't find someone in the 1911 census it is possible that the name has been transcribed incorrectly so you have to search using various combinations to find that particular person.

if you post some details of the family you are looking for - names, approx. years of birth, occupations etc, we could try to find them for you..

Coastguards were frequently moved between different stations - all around Ireland & England, so it is possible that Nicholas was not in Co.  Wexford for the 1911 census, but may be listed somewhere else.
