Hullo Derek and welcome to rootschat
What you have set out looks fine- the critical things to give in a post, wherever possible, if full names, places, dates such as of bmds.
I assume you are wanting to go backwards and find out more about your greatgrandparents... If you buy the marriage certs for any marriage after 1837 you will find the names of the bride and groom and also their fathers' names and occupations... so maybe getting Charles Johnson's marriage cert and Harry Stone's will help you considerably. You can find their marriage reference details by searching on freebmd then order online- each cert costs 7 GBP. G**gle for freebmd site.
Also, have you looked at an census for your families' details?
Get back to us and let us know how this is going.

You beat me to it Charlotte.
Welcome from me too Derek.
This is the freebmd (birth, marriage and death) site Charlotte mentioned: http://www.freebmd.org.uk/ There is also a freecen which gives some census. Census were taken every 10 years from 1841, giving slightly more information each time. Neither freebmd or freecen are fully complete, so if you can't find the right person in the right place, don't worry, as the area they lived in may not be transcribed yet.
Just to get you started, I had a look on the 1891 census for William Johnson with father Charles but couldn't find one born in Worksop or anywhere in Nottinghamshire. Are you sure he was BORN there? There are 41 William Johnsons with father Charles born elsewhere in 1888 plus or minus 5 years in the 1891 census. William should be 3 years old and at home with mum and dad.
As Charlotte says you will need to purchase some certificates just to make sure you are tracing the right families, as you have fairly common names there.

Births Dec 1888 JOHNSON William district: Worksop volume: 7b page: 29
This looks promising. I'll have another look to see if I can spot him in 1891.
No, sorry I can't see him. There is a Johnson family in Worksop in 1891 with father Charles and mother Elizabeth, and several children but no son William ...

I've had a look for Winifred Stone on freebmd and there are a surprising number of them. Do you know Winifred's year and place of birth?
