On 1851 census, William and Elizabeth Clatworthy are shown as living with William and Jane Edgcombe in Stoke Damerel. According to the census, William was from St Stephens, Saltash and Jane from Maker. Can someone tell me whether there is a Jane Jope or a Jane Clatworthy born in Maker c1818 please and the parents' names. The Clatworthies are described as parents in law. I believe that William Clatworthy married Elizabeth Jope in 1794 but am not aware that they had a daughter Jane as late as 1818. It is not on IGI. Elizabeth would have been 45 in 1818; (I had previously thought that Elizabeth Jope was born in 1764 to Robert and Mary but that rules her out of having a child as late as 1818 but it looks as though she was born in 1773 to James and Hannah). taylor wallace

On the FreeReg site there is a Jane Clatworthy baptised at St Macra, Maker, Cornwall, on 6th July, 1817.
Parents are William Clatworthy, and Elizabeth.

As a related query, Elizabeth Clatworthy nee Jope, mother of the Jane baptised as above, was the daughter of James Jope and "Hannah". Although the children of the marriage were all born at St Dominick, I cannot spot the marriage on IGI or free reg. Can anyone help? Thanks Taylor Wallace
