COMPLETE A missing Marriage?
« on: Tuesday 16 June 09 19:11 UTC (UK) »

Hi

I am trying to find a marriage between 2 people and I only have the surnames.

They are a Male Allison and a female Bassett.  I have the Female surname from the Birth record of the now deceased John Graham Allison.  From the information I have been given by a family member he was born in the Scilly Isles.  Birth was registered Devon/Cornwall/Seilly. Dorset/Somerset in the second quarter of 1926.

I have tried a few variations on the mothers and fathers surname but cannot find anything  Huh

I am posting on this board as this is the are that John was born, I know this is not to say it is where they got married.

Any Assistance would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Emma

I'm having a blonde moment, she could have been married before, which would mean her marriage to `Allison wouldn't be Bassett.  Undecided

Hi Emma

John G Allison's birth was registered 2nd quarter Penzance 5C 296 and his mother's maiden name as you say was Bassett. So I don't think you had a blond moment and we are looking for an Allison/Bassett marriage. Cant see one at the moment though!

Jane Bassett, same quarter, transcribed on FreeBmd as vol 5c pg 4 6 - scan looks to say page 426
