REQUEST: White Hart Inn, Bosworth Rd, Measham

This will no doubt seem a strange request, but I was hoping that someone who lives locally to the White Hart Inn in Bosworth Road, Measham, might be able to make contact with the current Owners/Operators on my behalf, as I live in New Zealand.  I am hoping to obtain an email address so that I can email them (or anyone else who is knowledgeable of the White Hart's history) to find out if they have any records, photos (mid to late 1800's), stories etc. from the time that my Gt Gt Gt Grandfather, Luke Liggins, and in latter years, his wife, Mary Ann Liggins, were the Licensed Victuallers.  Basically, I'm just keen to make contact with someone who can give me the kind of information that you don't get from just Records etc., where only a Date and Names are given.

Any help with this would be most appreciated, and if someone would like to do this on my behalf, I can send them a PM with my Email address to pass on if required.  Many thanks!

I am not sure if the current manager would be able to help much,  I will admit that although I only live about 5 miles away I have never been in the White Hart.  However Measham has a very active local history group,  who may be able to help you - you can find their contact details here

To be honest I don't know which of the members (if any) 'do' the internet,  you may have to write to them - there is an address there,  I will ask around a bit and if I find an E-mail for any of them I will PM you

DebbieG ~ would you mind telephoning the White Hart Inn for me, and asking the current owners if they have an email address, or ask them if they would mind emailing me?  With an Inn that is as old as that one is, I'm sure that they have some kind of history going on inside in the form of photo's etc.
