Can't find death record.

James Albert Fitch was born 1865 in Ipswich, Suffolk. He become a soldier, (he can be found in a barracks in Scotland in 1891 with his wife Isabella) but he isn't on the 1901 census, and is said to be deceased on his son's marriage certificate in 1915.

How can I track down his date of death?

Theres a James Fitch age 34 death Jullundur 1899 p 92 GRO Army death indices 1896-1900

IS there a webpage with the 'Army death indices 1896-1900 ' that I can view?

Do these records give references for death certificates?

The indices are at findmypast,that was all the information there was.I think you should be able to order the death cert with the page number and details though
