i am a begginer and am looking for a marriage in ebony tenterden,25th october 1835 between thomas austen, and mary ann brattle, is there some one out there who can help

I couldn't see any marriages for there on the IGI. Can we take a step back and ask for the sources of this info?

Would it be this one? Spouse is Mary Ann Rattle, but in 1878?

The Mid Kent Marriage Index has a marriage for  Mary Ann  BRATTLE to Thomas AUSTIN at Ebony,  25 October 1835.

The original parish register marriage entry should tell you whether they were of this parish and the names of witnesses but it will not give you the names of their parents.

thank you bearkat,so pleased to get a response. this is very first effort ,bit traumatic, but you have given me confidence.

it feels a long way out here [Aus], but i do have the death certifictes of thomas and mary ann although here she was using the name ann and that she was born in france.

i shall look at mid kent registers.

pauline i have copies of their death certs in australia,one says marriage in dover the other says tenterden kent,
other family people were married at St mildreds tenterden !
still a mystery.

this is not the one,these are not all the same people as mine ,i am aware of the discreprency,but am happy with mine,as to further investigation.

mary brattle is my bug bear.
