here are the y.o.b. as given on census 1901 -1844 1891 - 1843 1881 - 1842
p.o.b. Yeovil in each census
1871 her age is transcribed as 20 - but image reads 28

the date of marriage does seem correct - but that throws no light on Elizabeth's age -unless of course you have the marriage cert?
have you looked at census ?
if it is someone elses reasearch probably they took her age from 1871 census - where it is mistranscribed ??
I have a possibility for her in 1851/61
But will wait until you have checked ages on census - or requested those census???

Suz Thanks for looking Suz I don't have access to the Census anymore this was just something that came up unexpectedly her parents hold the key as to why my grandparents both gave the address of 55 Reckleford Yeovil as their residence at the time of their marraige my Grandmothers grandmother was a wheadon I am trying to tie up why they were living there when their home was Puriton some 30 miles away the 1851/ 61 would be of interest to me though

I think the 1840 birth of elizabeth wheadon is most probably the correct birth reg- elizabeth seems to get a year younger each census!!!

this is the family of Eliza Wheadon (who I thought was Elizabeth) -but there is something very strange
1871 census shows Reckleford Somerset Susan Wheadon head W 50 Ilchester Som Frank son U 23 Glover yeovil Kate daughter u 20 Glover yeovil ELIZA daughter U 20 Dressmaker yeovil William B son 18 Pupil teacher yeovil matilda Hunt sister U 52 Glover Ilchester George Rice lodger 28 Clerk Railway Devon W Trehearne lodger U 22 Clerk railway Birmingham RG10 2417 52 39
but then there is this....
also 1871
Wyndham St yeovil Frank Clinker head m 27 printer Alton hants Elizabeth wife 28 yeovil Leopold son 1 yeovil jane Hawkaur?? Lodger 16 puil teacher Kingston magne Dorset RG10 2417 76 24
then 1881 54 Reckleford yeovil Susan Wheadon head W 62 yeovil cath daughter 30 Grocers ast yeovil George rice lodger U 37 Railway agent Devon William B beale? Lodger 22 railway clerk Overton hants
next door 55 Reckleford Frank Clinker head M 37 printer Alton hants Eliabeth wife 39 Yeovil Leopold G son 11 yeovil percy b son 3 yeovil Stanley son 4 mth yeovil RG11 2392 53 45
1891 54 Reckleford Susan Wheadon head W 72 living on own means Yeovil kate daughter U 41 draprs asst yeovil george rice boarder U 50 Railway clerk Tiverton Devon
next door
55 Reckleford Frank Clinker head m 47 Printer's machinist Alton hants Elizabeth wife 48 yeovil leopold J son 21 printers machinist yeovil Percy B on 13 lawyers clerk yeovil Stanley F son 10 scholar yeovil RG12 1898 46 37
1901 (susan had died 1896) 54 Reckleford Katherine wheadon head u 57 shop asst yeovil
next door 55 Reckleford Frank Clinker head m 57 machine minder printing office Alton hants Elizabeth wife 57 yeovil charles W Slocombe Boarder 23 engineer Swadlincote derby
RG13 2301 46 26
so was Elizabeth daughter of Susan
was the 1871 census a mitake and Susan had entered Frank and elizabeth as her children - and then they were enterd as Clinker elsewhere???
Lots of questions - but hopefully this will be of some help re address

glad it has answered a few questions - it seems to happen quite often in family history - find the answer to one question and it opens the door for more - think that is why I love it !!!!
Happy hunting
