I have found a James Knight age 70 in the 1841 census
                        Elizabeth              65    born Surrey
                        Elizabeth              30                "
                        Mary Pratt            35                "
HO107 pce1053 Folio 4/11 Pge 16
Wandsworth & Clapham, Sub.Clapham
Lark Hall Lane, Clapham, Surrey.

Nothing for the 1851 Census.

I did find a christening of James William Knight, father James, mother Elizabeth on 9.Mar 1806 Saint Luke, Chelsea, London Birth 13.7.1801.  This would make father about 40.  It is possible that they moved to Chelsea.

I am trying to look for Heston Parish Records.

I have found James Knight age 70
Elizabeth Knight age 65
Elizabeth Knight age 30
on the 1941 Census Lark Hall Lane, Clapham
HO107 pce1053 P.16 Clapham Parish

but cannot find any James Knight in 1851 Census.

I also found birth of James William Knight 13 Jul 1801 Chelsea London.  Father James mother Elizabeth.

I will keep looking for Heston Parish records.

Since James Knight is a reasonably common name you will find lots of James Knights around the country on censuses including James Knight the Dissenting Minster and his family in Clapham Surrey. The family you are interested in 1841 as in 1851 are in Heston and were bricklayers?

The yes no born in or out of the county is unreliable on the 1841 census. It can often be yes when later censuses show that to be incorrect.

You know from the 1851 census that James junior was born in Heston circa 1811 and his possible father James senior (wife Mary) was born in Petworth Sussex circa 1774 (possibly illegitimately looking at the IGI baptisms).  Like the censuses since James Knight is a reasonably common name you can find plenty of James Knights on the IGI, but not baptised in Heston since the IGI (Family Search) has no coverage of Heston parish registers. Chelsea is now in central London. James William Knight had a middle name and was born at least 10 years before the one you are interested in who was born in Heston and whose mother was probably called Mary not Elizabeth. You cannot 'shoe horn' records to fit simply because they can be found online when other records you need to search cannot.

Heston parish registers are held at the London Metropolitan Archives - they are not indexed on the IGI. If you subscribe to Ancestry you can find the baptism registers for the parish indexed and online from 1813. Pre that date other registers are not indexed but can be searched since the images of the parish registers are now online.

I used to belong to Ancestry but they increased their subs. so much I left.  Maybe I could rejoin for a short time just to search this.
