Topic: Burial Look-up please, Hatfield Nr.Doncaster (Read 251 times)

Hi
Please can anyone kindly help me with some burials at St Lawrence, Hatfield Nr Doncaster?
I am seeking burials for the BARRASS family, namely
Samuel Barrass 1831 aged approx 77
Diana Barrass 1837 aged approx 73
Mary Barrass 1st qtr 1849 age approx 54
Samuel Barrass 1st qtr 1855 age approx 63
Henry Barrass 3rd qtr 1883 aged approx 58
also ..
William Wilburn died 2nd qtr 1865 aged approx 70
Ann or Nancy Willburn died 3rd qtr 1874 aged approx 83.
If anyone can help with identifying these burials or guiding me where to look for them, it would be very much appreciated.

Here are the dates but I don't have access to plot numbers sorry
3 Aug 1831 Samuel BARRASS 77
27 Jan 1837 Diana BARRASS 77
18 Feb 1849 Mary BARRASS 58
22 Mar 1855 Samuel BARRASS 63
30 Aug 1883 Henry BARRASS 58
I can't see William WILBURN aged 83 - the nearest one is buried at Hatfield in May 1865 but he was only 71.
9 Aug 1874 Ann WILBURN 83
There's quite a few other BARRASS' and WILBURNs there - please pm if you want more information.

Thank you so very much indeed. These dates really help and now I can request the appropriate parish register copies.
The burial you found for William Wilburn was correct .... look this was what I wrote, so a burial in May 1865 at age 71 was not too far out.
"also ...

Thanks again Claire, I know exactly what you mean by "a long day" !!!
I am also seeking a couple of baptisms at Hatfield, I don't suppose you can help with those also. Plus a baptism at Wakefield but I guess I need to post again separately for that one.
The baps at St Lawrence Hatfield Nr Don. are
Samuel Barrass, circa 1754
Mary Booth, circa 1790 (all evidence points to her being born Doncaster and she lived at Stainforth although IGI has a baptism at Wadworth that may be correct) but I thought I should check Hatfield out first!
The Wakefield entry was Wilfred Barrass born 3rd qtr 1855, parents Henry & Hannah.
Any help or advice would be much appreciated.
