Excellent,
I get it!!
I have Eliza as Elizabeth as I have a letter from my Great....etc 'Saran' Sarah Ann to 'Mathan' as they are called my some members of the family.
What we didnt know is he re-married how excellent is that, although terrible at the same time. Any idea how Elizabeth died? Would this be on the death certificate and could that be purchased?
Dave Genology is more fun than Se@

Dave - you can buy copies of birth, marriage and death certificates
http://www.gro.gov.uk/gro/content/certificates/
You will need the gro reference numbers, the quarter and year, and the registration district.
They are £7.00 each.

3) William Taylor B: about 1857, Northwich, Cheshire, England married to Caroline ? B: about 1858, Northwich, Cheshire, England.
I haven't found a marriage to Caroline, but I think he was married to Agnes in 1891. 1880 Agnes FERGUSON Manchester, Gorton, St. James Class: RG11; Piece: 3902; Folio: 72; Page: 22 Class: RG12; Piece: 3171; Folio 136; Page 18 Class: RG13; Piece: 3688; Folio: 66; Page: 26 Deryck Im not so sure.
I know that William Taylor and Caroline 1858 - had the following children:
Caroline Taylor 1882 –
George Taylor 1883 –
William Taylor 1885 –
David Taylor 1887 –
Albert Taylor 1891 –
Tom Taylor 1893 –
Hester Taylor 1895 –
I have them living at 1901 census at Chorlton. Tom Taylor was 8 at the time.

I am going back further with Nancy Goodwin B:1853 in Matlock, Derbyshire, and am looking at the 1891 census.
Joshua Holt 76 Eliza Holt 64 Nancy Holt 38 Sarah Holt 36
This looks like a good match? Would you agree?
As for Robert Holt? I believe his father could be John Holt B: about 1830 in Newton Heath, Lancashire, England who married Martha Whitehead Birth: 1834 Newton Heath, Lancashire, England
Would you agree fellow genealogist masters?

No but what fantastic work I am impressed.
The 1901 Census however has two definite Caroline's, so is she really Agnes or Caroline? No I have not got access to 1911 census?

Or maybe Agnes died and Caroline was William's second wife
David - I think you need to slow down a bit
We are looking at four different families all at the same time, and swapping between them between posts and then going back on one line and changing to the next....
I'm getting confused - I really think it would be best to concentrate on one line at a time - Sort out all the anomalies in that family, and then move on to the next one
What do you think, Heywood
PS: David - cutting and pasting is not allowed
