Try Alan Clarks Northampton website. Im not too sure of the full site address but I think you would find it by Googling his name and Northamton. It is probably on the N/H family history site too.

Thank you seahall,

I have had a look at the "parish map" on there and unfortunately the area around Northampton itself is not as clear as I hoped.

I see from Genuki that there are four parishes in Northampton ie All Saints, St Giles, St Peter and Sr Sepulchre. I have found that SOG has parish records for all except St Sepulchre and so was trying to establish if St Sepilchre did record CMB. (St Sepulchre is not on familysearch either).

Hi again Davidft.

Most of Northants was not recorded by the LDS although quite a few new
records are being listed now.

Alan and Marilyn (both Rootschatters) will lookup freely from their indexes.

The Northamptonshire Record Office http://www.rootschat.com/links/06ie

and Northants Family History Society http://www.rootschat.com/links/06if/
have transcripts of CMB's.

Also the Northants Lookup Exchange offer look ups throughout Northamptonshire.

Hi seahall,

Thank you for the links I will keep them in mind.

I think I will go to SOG next week to see what they have on their copies of the registers and see if I can find my Elizabeth Knight there. She claims she was born in Northampton in 1877 although I only have her in Kent on a census. marroage and death.

The parish of St Mary's was formed in 1875 out of the part of the parish of Hardingstone which up until then had covered most of Northampton south of the river Nene.

If you are looking as late as 1877 you need to check when the other newer parishes were formed for example Abington, St James and there may also have been a new one to the north of the town.
