C.M Merricks before coming to NZ

Hello

Not too certain if I am in the right area or not.  But I am looking for a Samueal Hurst and wife Martha Elliot both born abt 1770 Kent.  I know the family ended up in London, but when?
If there is a census with these people it will help confirm I have the right family (but than again they could be dead by the census.

I'm afraid I can't see either of them Suzy  Undecided

Looked for Sam* and also Martha, no surname, b Kent 1770 +/- 5 but couldn't see any surname that looked like Hurst. They would be getting on a bit if they were still alive, so perhaps they had both died by the 1841 census.

Do you have their Kent births to confirm birth dates?

Have you thought to check any of their children in the censuses in case they have an elderly parent living with them?  Undecided

Thought it would be a very long shot.  Their daughter (another Martha) married John Watkins and they show in 1841 St Giles Camberwell, but no in-laws living with them.  Says Martha was born in Middlesex London, and looking at the I.G.I states parents are Samuel and Martha Hurst, they married in Kent, but I have a feeling Samuel was married once before to a Susannah, a a small cluster show on the I.G.I baptized at the same church to a Samuel, Martha and Susannah.
No telling without getting one's hands on the original records, but very hard from NZ.
