Help with German church record. please
« on: Thursday 18 June 09 15:34 UTC (UK) »

My records are too large to put on here, so hopefully someone can email me and I can send them to them!

I found this German church record and am hoping that it is my ancestors, but, I can not read German!I am looking for the family of Johannes and Carolina Belken, which camr to USA in 1852 on  the ship."Uhland" with their children. The ones that would be listed in this records would be Franz(1839), Casper(18410 and Elizabeth.(1843) are about the right years of birth.
The records that I found have the Belken spelled Belecken, so don't know if I am on the right track or not.
I have found the ship's list("Uhland") which they arrvied in the USA on June 1852. Listed are:
Johannes, Carolina, Mary, Anna, John, Frank, Casper and Elizabeth all from Alfern. Also on the ship were Casper Belken and his family from Affern.
The Belken's were Catholic. My family setteled in Southwest Wisconsin and the Casper Belken famly in Missouri.
I ordered film from the LDS family history center on churches from both Alfen and Affeln. I do not know German, but I thought I could "pick out" dates and names. I didn't find anything on the the Alfen film, but found some names and dates that I thought matched 3 of my Belken family. (Frank, Casper and Elizabeth). We do not have a maiden name for Carolina, but know she came to USA with them and died with in 2 years.
LDS film: # 921797
