Walker Richard, death details.
« on: Thursday 18 June 09 23:11 UTC (UK) »

My great grandfather Richard Walker b. 1846 in St. Alkmunds, Derby moved to Burton upon Trent in 1901.  In 1911 he was 65 yrs old and lived at 34 union street BOT and I believe he passed on not long after but I cannot find any records of his death.

Is it possible that Burton on Trent was in Derbyshire at that time, or has it always been in Staffs? I have drawn a blank trying to find his death details, can anyone help please?
Thank you in advance.

Hi

Burton upon Trent spans the boundaries of the counties of Derbyshire and Staffordshire

What about this entry?

Deaths June qtr 1915

Richard  Walker aged 75  Burton  6b 460

I know he is older than expected but info on death was only as good as the knowledge of the person who reported the death.

Looking at the 1901 census, there was only one other Richard Walker in that age range in Staffs and he was living in Hanley
