My great grandmother, Susannah Miskelly and her sister Margaret emigrated to New Zealand arriving in 1869 on board the Covenrty Jane. On the passenger lists they are shown as 18 and 20 respectively. Marriage and other NZ records indicate she was born in 1853.

These ages are probably incorrect as Susannah was most likely only 16.

On her marrige in New Zealand to Thomas Viner CRUNDWELL in June 1872 she indicates that her father is Owen MISKELLY and her mother as Rose McGrevy.

Could someone help find records of Susannah (later known as Annie) bith and parents marriage and their parents, iof at all possible.

This is one of my brickwalls which I would love to knock down.

Surname seems to have been a bit more common in County Down than County Antrim.

Ulster Historical Foundation have an Owen Miskelly marriage for 1854....£4 to view record details, or perhaps some kind soul with access to Emerald Ancestors could have a look for you.
