Oh I do, I do. 
I noticed one of the comments made was that these photos looked like they were taken in the 30's not the 60's/70's, which was precisely what'd I'd been thinking.

Great photos. I know the Runcorn Widnes having been born in Widnes and lived in Runcorn.
OT question, but does anyone know what 'EWS' on the side of buildings means? I remember is being whitewashed in large capitals at ground level. I assume some sort of advert or the like? I'ts bugged me for years and these photos brought it basck - it used to be on the side of my Dads old shop in Lowlands Road, Runcorn
