would anyone b able to help me,,, im lookin for info on stephen lawrence,b,1804 in rainham kent he married jane from plymouth,b,1815,dont no her last name they had 7 children and lived in medway rd and exmonth terrece, gillingham in 1901,its emily lawrence,b,1858  im lookin for info she had 2 daughters edith 1875,minnieannie 1878,cant find any marriage for heror if she had anymore children,

What is the last date you have for Emily? I see she's in the 1881 census with Edith and Minnie

Are you sure Emily was the mother of these children? I've found Minnie Annie and Edith with their father in 1891 - 15 Medway Road, Gillingham

Stephen has remarried by 1901 - RG13/734/53/23 - 15 Medway Road - no sign of his daughters here.

Oddly the only marriage I can find for Stephen E Lawrence to Jane Wade is in 1925! Did he wait all that time to marry her?

hi laurina thanks foe the info, i looked on ancestry thats where it said emily was the mother of minnieannie and edith, but no father mentioned, i think the stePhen  u found is the son,b,1854

Pure conjecture on ancestry's part - the actual census shows everyone as Stephen sr's children in 1881!

I agree that the marriage is rather late - but I thought it worth bringing up as both the names matched! Perhaps he just decided to make her an honest woman  ... who knows!
