Is there a searchable data base for students ex Wellington College?

oldfriends.co.nz is not suitable for pupils pre 1938 as it relies on living expupils to register an interest.

Hi Althea, many thanks for the St Pat's link, it has some names of interest. What i am after is Wellington Boys College, so will have a look at the libarary when I visit Wellington next Easter- another item to add on to my "to do" list.

If you email any of the LIbraries the staff are usually only too happy to help, most without fee, depending on circumstance

Another way of gathering info ask via the NZSG sub=branches

There does not appear to be a "searchable database" for Wellington College.

Try the College's website -

- there is mention of "College Archives" in the section titled "History".

Surprised that there isn't perhaps a webpage /site for Wellington College Old Boys ? I'm sure the College though can point you in a direction where you might access the info you are seeking.

I have just been in touch with the college and found that a young man called Chris Potter has access to lists of past pupils and he was very helpful to me and suppiled me with a class photograph of my ancestor. His email address is
