Erin go Bragh
« on: Saturday 17 October 09 02:41 UTC (UK) »

I'm hoping someone is able to assist me with this query.  I have an ancestor from Headford, Galway.   She was one of the Irish Famine Orphan Girls shipped to Australia during the early 1850's.
After she had married and eventually settled in Winton Queensland, she and her husband set up a dairy that was named 'Erin go Bragh'  apart for the popular translation of 'Ireland Forever'  might there be any connection to a place or village in Headford to commemorate her home village?
Thank you Abygail
