On my Calderdale Companion website, I have a Mr Carpmael who was innkeeper and constable at Halifax around 1805, with a note that he had daughters [including Betsy who married Launcelot Taylor of Manchester in 1805].
I also have a Sarah Carpmael who married William Tongue [1778-1853] in Halifax on 1st January 1808.
I would be most grateful if someone could find a link between these members of the Carpmael family. Could Sarah have been another daughter of Mr Carpmael, the innkeeper?
