Hi, TAnnison, and Welcome to RootsChat,

I don't think I'm going to be much help to you, unfortunately, because the Annison's join Mrs. Hat's tree in 1839, with the marriage of Harriett Steward Annison, from Ludham, to William Francis Bubbings, from Stalham.

They, and their family, migrated to Hull before 1870, so I'm fairly sure there is no direct link.

However, if you post details of who you are looking for on the Norfolk LookUp board then someone will soon help you out.

Good Luck,

Roger The Hat.

Sorry but you're far too recent for me. Annison didn't join my family until Elizabeth Annison married John Pilch in 1657.

Sorry I can't help.

Brenda

Heya!  I'm an Annison from Norfolk...

I'm happy to share what information I have, if it's of any use to you, but I am also trying to trace my father's line backwards for medical reasons.

================================

My father is Ronald Philip Annison, my mother Linda Doreen Annison (nee Lansdale), still living in Costessey, Norwich.

-----------------------------------------

His father was Philip Annison (b maybe 23rd May of 1904 or 1905, d 26 Jan 1982) , married to Hilda Maud Annison (nee Nelson, b maybe June/July 1908 or 9, d 24 Dec 1992). They lived in Birdcage Row, Costessey, and 63 Richmond Rod, Costessey and lastly 148 Moore Avenue, Sprowston. He was a woodcarver and sometime poacher.  (he also had another son, my uncle Richard Annison, who lives in Sprowston)

-----------------------------------------

Philip Annison's father was Albert Annison, who lived in Waterloo Road, Norwich, and he was the youngest of many.

-----------------------------------------

Hilda Maud Nelson (later Annison) was born to Charles Nelson and Emily Nelson, of Home Street, Norwich. I believe that she also came from a large family.

================================
I believe my great-grandparents were Albert Annison (who was also known as "Dutch", and was legendarily strong) and Elizabeth (aka Liz) but I was unable to track down any of their other children.

If you heve anything that would be of any help to me, I would much appreciate it, and it may be of real benefit to someone!

Hi T.

I think you may have hit an incorrect key! My family interests are in Curruer, Hutton, Sinclair and Abercrombie! Good hunting !

Roger The Hat, Brenda - Thank you! You're right, this is really recent stuff that I'm having trouble with, and I'm stuck as to where to look! Smiley

Norm - You're also right, and I do apologise! I was reading posts by Roger The Hat, and confusing them with you. My mistake...
