Hi Lynn
thanks very much for looking up the Radcliffe/Ratcliffe name, I did not realise there would be so many of them.
Don't worry about searching after 1585 for me as anything after that is starting to get a litte bit late, once again thanks very much.

Hi Lynn,

I wonder if you would mind doing another look up for me, I don't think there will be many (if any) as the name is MOORFOOT.

Many thanks,

Gill

Hi Lynn,

Many thanks for looking.

I have access to the Prerogative & Exchequer Courts of York Probate Index 1731-1858 for the next week & wondered if there was anything that you would like looking up in return?

Thanks again,

Gill

Hi I hope you havent had too many requests yet, could you possibly have a look for Chippyingdale and the like for me please? Im looking for siblings or parents of a man named George Chippyngdale of Skipton in Craven. I have a copy of his will and know of one sister he had named Ada but I cant find any more family. I have Georges family as he moved out of Yorkshire and a marriage for Ada but would love to know more about any others there might have been. I suspect Georges line may have moved back up to yorkshire sometime later and some family members still in Yorkshire would give them a reason to go back, hope you can help, Laura

Georges will is dated 1587 if it helps at all, thankyou so much

Gill

Ignore this mail as have now found some under Chippindale - so much for the search of all variants!!!

thanks Gill thats great ill have a run through them see if I can match any, I dread to think how many there are in the rest of Yorkshire now!!!Ive been so intent on finding the early mob i didnt think about the others and only read the date of the post. If you have access to lists of later wills  I wonder if you would mind trying the Otley area for me? except for my grandad all the rest of the family are from Otley and close by. hope you dont mind Smiley thanks ever so much Ive had some real mysteries lately trying to find wills of a section of family that moved county. not sure if im helping but the most common spellings ive found are chippendale , chippindale and chippingdale... odd ones of dall and dail, daile. I was wondering where you have gotten the list from too it seems really useful and ive never come across anyone with a list of wills before.

another thanks, laura  Cheesy
