Mudds in Haddenham, Norfolk
« on: Sunday 21 June 09 13:28 UTC (UK) »

Hi, I have some people I cant find

Robert Mudd b. 1822, after 1851, he vanishes, I cant find a marriage or death record for him. Father, Robert, Mother, Mary

Fanny J Mudd b. 1866, after 1871 cant find her. Can only find birth records. Father William, Mother Emily

Ellen Mudd b. 1892, again only birth record located. Father William, Mother Selina

All these people were born in Haddenham, Norfolk except Ellen, she was born in Coltishall

If any one can find these people, it would be a big help

Thanks

Was Ellen's middle name Louisa? If so, there's a possible for her in Edmonton registration district in 1911.

I can't find Robert Mudd on the later censuses but there's a marriage at Yarmouth:

Robert Mudd, age 39, father Robert Mudd
to
Hannah Beck, age 38, father Richard Knowles

13 July 1861 Yarmouth, Norfolk

There's a death for Hannah Mudd age 44 in 1867, Yarmouth

and a death for Robert Mudd in 1864, Yarmouth

So how did you know her parent's names if it wasn't off a christening record or birth cert?  Tongue

PS. Coltishall is covered by Aylsham district, where Ellen Louisa's birth was registered

I knew her parents names because I have found her brother (who is my direct descendant) on the censuses and she appeared on the 1901 census with him

Thanks

Oh, I thought you hadn't found her on any census - sorry for useless 1901 reference  Smiley

Not a problem, Just dont know what happened to her. These people I cant find are the only gaps I have on this branch of the family, just frustrating!  Smiley

As I said earlier, Ellen seems to be findable in 1911 at least.  Smiley

Robert I'm pretty sure is nearly solved as well?

The death for Fanny seems possible as well (at least I can't see any other Fanny who this death could be)
