On the passenger list for the Teutonic arriving NY 24 Apr. 1890, it looks like Ed F. Hood, age 16, male, occupation - designer?, from England, going to U.S.A.
Could this be him? WWI Draft Registration Card Edward Francis Hood 232 Lenker Ave., Sunbury, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania Age 44, born 18 Nov. 1873 White, alien declarant, citizen of England Occupation - clerk, Susqua. Silk Mill, Sunbury, Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania Nearest relative - Mrs. Hood, 37 Burn, Nottingham, England Medium height, slender build, blue eyes, light hair
If so, I've found likely matches for this Edward on the 1910, 1920, and 1930 Census records in Northumberland Co., Pennsylvania. The 1910 says he immigrated in 1892, the 1920 says he immigrated in 1870 (which would have been before his birth, so perhaps it was a misread 1890), and the 1930 says he immigrated in 1890.

Unfortunately, Pennsylvania doesn't have much online for death or marriage records and they probably didn't live long enough to make it onto the Social Security Death Index. I tried to see if I could find anything further on Lillie's children/grandchildren, but I didn't see much that looked like a match.

Hi John (and Shelly): If you are a direct relative of Edward Hood, you can get a copy of his death certificate from the state of Pennsylvania. The catch is that you must know the exact year he died.
Go here http://www.dsf.health.state.pa.us/health/cwp/view.asp?a=168&Q=229939 and click on "Eligible requestors" under death records for the details.
Marriage records would be at the Northumberland County Courthouse in Sunbury (probably with the Register of Wills or the Prothonotary). I could not find a website or e-mail address for the courthouse or any department there. If Edward became a U.S. citizen before 1910 (as the 1910 census entry seems to indicate), a copy of his papers might also be with the Prothonotary's office
The Degenstein Public Library in Sunbury, Pennsylvania is at http://www.sunburylibrary.org. There is an e-mail address on the home page. It's dcl.library@verizon.net. You might ask someone there for help.
The Northumberland County Historical Society is at http://www.northumberlandcountyhistoricalsociety.org. Click on the Enter button, then on the Genealogy link at the top of the page to get the e-mail address of the librarian, who might offer you advice.
Finally, there is an entry in our Social Security Death Index for a Benjamin Forsyth, born 1900, died 1974 in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. This might be the husband of stepdaughter Margaret Shadle.
Hope this helps, John
