Hi

Gosh how many look ups do you need!

Here is a selection but for the marriages I need a birth date as well for the burials so I can match the ages.

These may or may not be correct but they are from the marriages on NFHS.

Elizabeth Weston Edward Peters 13.11.1793 Nottm St Peters
Mary Weston Thomas Cant 21.01.1784 Nottm St Marys
Sarah Weston William Hopkins 17.11.1785 Lenton
Elizabeth Weston James Killingley 11.2.1800 Lenton
Sarah Weston Thomas Harrison 20.2.1804 Nottm St Marys
Sarah Weston Thomas Watson 5.8.1805 Radford St peters
Sarah Weston Luke Worrall 9.2.1814 Nottm St Peter
Sarah Westn John Hollis 1.5.1814 Nottm St Mary
Mary Weston James Stanley 6.2.1823 Newark St Mary
Lucy Weston James Goodwin 31.3.1834 Wellow
Ada Weston William Cragg 25.12.1893 Nottm All Saints

Your profile just says UK. I cannot tell if you know Nottm. I would disregard the Newark and Wellow. Nottm St Marys, St Peters, All Saints and Lenton are within 2 or 3 miles of each other. Wellow and Newark are miles away.

Kind regards

Jane

Oh my word, I truly didn't mean to put anyone to so much work, but am really very thankful to everyone who has passed on this information and will now go back to check birth dates.  The church that a lot of Westons were married in is Holy Trinity in Lenton and they seem to have kept very close to that area.  I have also leant that I must add more detail to my profile, so will go and do that too.  I am obviously missing a trick here or being very dense, but once a women marries how on earth do you find her on the census (not knowing whom she married of course)?  I have an account with findmypast.com and that's about it.  I would like to join the NFHS but that only deals with paypal accounts.

Certainly from the later ones, track them through census/BMD's.
When for example do they disappear from the family unit?
What recently-wed women appear with the same age/birthplace of the single women?

Pauline gave some tips earlier for searching for them.

It will involve some detective work - the ladies wont just pop out at you!
But if you see when they stop being with the family, and if yuo cant see them elsewhere as single, then look for the Christian name and yr and place of birth , then for possible mariages to whichever surnames come up!  Check as many censuses as pos for the 'possibles' you never know when a helpful relaton might be staying who helps confirm it is the right person.
