Have you "wandered about" or looked at the enumeration district's description from which you might be able to deduce the whereabouts of the lane. You could then go to http://www.old-maps.co.uk/index.htm and wander about the area where you should be able to find it.

Hi I don't know if you actually did the google search that SWar did, but if you then click on the link you find that Groutys Lane is what is now known as Furber Rd, so the road is still there.
My mothers brother lived at 105 Furber Road from the 1930s till about 1990
