Oh my that was quick! Why didn't I find it on there!!! I've been looking all week........
Have a couple more names to go on now, it still has no mention of Aunt Maud though.
These names are the same as the other ladies but her William Herbert isnt mine. Now I am really confused!
Fran.
She sent me this William Anthony Palin & Sarah Ellen had three children: 1): William Herbert, b. 3 June1898 at Wavertree Parish,W.Derby, Liverpool, Lancashire, England. -Christened 7 Aug.1898, St. Bridget, Wavertree, Lancashire, England. Died 14 Dec. 1994 at Seaforth, Ont. Canada. - Data has not been researched regarding William Herbert's marital status. - During World War 1, William Herbert served in the British Army as a Private. (iii) -William emigrated to Canada when he was 28 years of age when he arrived on March 14th, in 1926 at the Port of St. John, New Brunswick. (ii) - He lived to be 96 years of age, deceasing on December 14, 1994, at Seaforth, Ontario, Canada. (**) So this is not my William Herbert! as he died in England....

Ok - lets start with what we know is fact about him - his marriage to Eunice
Marriages June qtr 1922 Eunice Evans Hawarden 11b 417 William H Palin Hawarden 11b 417
You will need to buy a copy of his marriage cert to find his age and his fathers name and occupation. It should then be possible to find him on the 1901/1911 census with the right family
There is no other William Herbert Palin birth on freebmd in any other county apart from that 1898 one

Hawarden is only just over the border from Cheshire, so they may have been visiting family.

Hi Fran, I know your posting is a while ago but I just spotted it. I'm building my husband's tree for him and his grandmother was May Palin, born in Bootle in 1892, and the Palins are a very big family as far as I can tell. I've got May's line back to a family in Northwich in Cheshire in the early 1800s, and there seems to have been a general move from Cheshire to the Liverpool area during that century. I found them quite hard to track because there were so many, and it was hard to separate two different branches at one time. Having looked at the people you are looking for it is a different branch, but if any of this crosses over with the family you are searching, let me know. Maggie
