Unless he was a Head of household - not really likely at aged 14, even if he was there he wouldn't be named

'The first four censuses were essentially only head counts which named just the head of household.'

Thanks for the info. 

Do you think it would be worth doing a general search for a McGARRICK family in Marylebone at that time? 

If so please could someone do a search for me if they have access to the 1821 census.  I'd be very grateful as I have hit a brick wall.

I have 1821 and 1831 Marylebone. Indexed from the original held in Westminster Archives ..... the focus of the 1801-1831 was statistical, the beginnings of serious planning ..

BUT the Marylebone Index only shows Head's name and address - other stats not indexed apparently included occupation, and counts of household members etc.


Here are the 1821 Mc's section - no sign of your McGarricks, sadly not MAC either.
