I obtained this postcard for a few pence many years ago and someone had written in the Lambourne Valley on the back. This is an area where I have a substantial family connection. Try as I might I couldn't locate it in the area and I now know why.

I have no family connection with Longstock but know many people in the Andover area who may have. Names on the memorial were:

Arthur Ellis
Percy Coombs
Raymond Holloway
George grant
Alfred Sackley
John Ccivier
William Judd
Charles Judd
Maurice Wynne
Fred Mott
William Snook
Reginald Snellgrove
William Waite

Many years ago I had a work colleague by the name of Judd who lived in Stockbridge which is only a couple of miles away from Longstock. So I feel confident I will find somebody who would appreciate the historical importance for their family of the event in the photograph.
