I am looking for the mother of Joshua COX and James COX as per 1841 below
John COX born abt 1812, son of John Fenner COX and Mary unknown (John was Born Deaf as per 1861 and 1871 census)

Just checked IGI, saw nothing on Parents for Joshua and James COX
I think Martha would be too young to be at least Joshua's mother

Sorry - just noticed that you had said John and Martha only married in 1840
This is possibly son James birth reg as Leighton Buzzard was the registration district for Edelsborough
Births September qtr 1837
James COX Leighton Buzzard 6 55
There are 3 female Cox deaths in Leighton Buzzard after 1837
Mary June qtr 1838
Ann Sept qtr 1838
Hannah June qtr 1839
but you would need to buy a copy of James birth cert to be sure

That John COX married Mary STEVENS 1834 is showing on Rootsweb as immigrating to Australia.
Looks like my John COX died 1903. reg Leighton Buzzard
I may have him in 1901 Census with I think Granddaughter Annie.
Per IGI (possibility as it fits with Joshua's birthyear but area is different. Mary may have been from there)
