B.T. is messing my computer up COMPLETED

For last few days i keep getting a white page telling me .The hub cannot connet to the net,I am allready Undecided

connected so i just close it and carry on.Today on another message page they tell me i have a problem with I.E.Shall we fix it normally i would say no but i said yes.Now i have seen these connections i don't have and didn't have till an hour ago.
It should be B.T connection so how did i get these

Might I suggest that no 1 is the old dial up modem built in to your PC now redundant
No.2 is Local Area Network card to network more than one pc.

Yep, Celia, I have the same thing on my computer in Scotland - the disconnected one is your old dial up and the LAN is your new BB connection, as MJB says.

Thank goodness for that

I thought i had been got at Grin

Because as well as not being able to connect when i was connected Roll Eyes

. I got "There seems to be a problem with your B.B.C home page" there was, it vanished Grin

At that piont i did as well Grin

So should i delete the old dial up,how did it get there anyway?
I just switched on the P.C. and i didnt get a message from Hub Grin

So hopefully he wont contact me again Grin

Just leave it as it is.

Mine's still there (showing as disconnected) after 5 years.

It refers to the dial up modem (hardware and software) that is still in your computer.

You might need it sometime - if your BT line goes down, for example.
