I am looking for some information from a marriage between Alexander Crawford & Hanna Walton 17 October 1779 in Whitby deatils of witnesses or parents or ages would be of great help. Where would i find the oringinal Parish Register

I think marriages from Feb 1779 to Dec 1779 are missing from it though, Shipwright.
I may be wrong though. Probably be best to check before buying it!

Hi,
I have just checked with my CD they are missing, Vol 9 ends at 6 Feb 1779 and Vol 11 starts Jan 3 1780. [Vol 10 gives Baptism and Deaths]

Alexander was a wedding witness, Dec 1780 to schoolmaster Lee Hodgson and Mary Taylorson/Thompson and in 1783 to Edward Carr and Elizabeth Blackburn, Dec 1784 George Craig, bach, sailor and Hannah Blackburn, spinster, and the same day to George Cooper and Mary Maddeson a fellow witness being William Walton.
Richard Moorsome mariner and Elizabeth Crawford wed in April 1874
The Crawfords have many entries in Whitby Registers

Yes. Although I was working from a transcript I am pretty certain there would be no other info. It is unusual to get more than this in a parish register of the time.
