I am having difficulty in making out the name of Sarah Hewitson's Father - any help appreciated. Have done a search on area for Alexander Moffat to no avail.

Only one that I can find in the area is in Parton, Kirkcudbrightshire on the 1861. Barwhilinty Farm, Parton. Aged 36, farmers's son, son of a Joan Moffat .

Sarah was born Parton 13 January 1863, Mother - Agnes Hewitson - IGI extracted
So the Alexander Moffat, aged 36 in 1861 in Parton is a likely candidate.
