which area of the country are we looking at tudge? see your other post is Lancs?

Beatrice A tudge  34
Alfred W              12
Nellie B                 7
Alice G                  5
Ernest A               4
Edward V              2mths

all born leigh - village about 3 miles from martley (reg place)

This should get you started - look back to find Albert & Beatrice on the 1891c - alfred was born 1889 so marriage should be around 1888. use free bmd for births / marriage.

will be difficult to go forward unless ernest had a legal divorce. there is a child born 1930 in Manchester N area to a Tudge and a Coleman but no way of proving if Ernest unless you send for the cert. (on freebmd)

Good luck. you could put further postings on the Lancs or Worcester boards.

i looked up marriage etc

on freebdm it says albert married ann warner no mention of her in census his wife on census is beatrice?

any ideas

thought to start with that beatrice might be using her middle name - initial A. however on A* on the 1891c there is a Albert Tudge b.c 1868 (ours is 1864) married to Ann but the children are wrong - alfred b.1889 is not there which he should be aged 2/3.

still looking for another marriage - might be worth posting on the worcester board see if anyone has the local records.

!891c   alfred b 1889 with parents down as Judge (transcription error)

Marriage on free bmd - 3 different transcriptions on one record:
