My mother Edna Little was born in 1936 and her brother Arthur was born in 1933 - on the birth certificates no father is listed - is there any way of tracing?

There mother, my grandmother was Elizabeth Byers Gibson Little Born 1912

Sorry - just realised I have answered the wrong question - I was looking for a Lorna Little earlier born around 1930 in this area.

Hi David

The answer to your question is that it is unlikely that you could  trace him, unless there was a corrected entry later or a paternity suit.  Even if you were to trace the father of any of her siblings, you would still not have full proof of her father.

Does your mother's marriage certificate give a father's name?
Did your grandmother, Elizabeth, have a long standing relationship with anyone?
Are there any family stories, etc.
